Riverside Drive Penthouse

New York, New York

Located on Riverside Drive within a 22-story masonry building constructed in 1964, this 2,500 square-foot penthouse was created from three apartments by a previous owner. The project required a complete interior space planning and renovation to fit the needs and lifestyle of an active family of four.

Working in close collaboration with the client’s interior designer, Jenny Fischbach, the completed design opens up the communal living spaces to create a continuous flow between the foyer, living and dining rooms, the kitchen and terrace. The southern facing windows and doors along the terrace were replaced and expanded, taking advantage of the abundance of light and beautiful views afforded by the Hudson River and Riverside Park. A cool neutral color palette is employed and balanced by the richness of the full height East-Indian Laurel wood panels that connect the living, dining, and kitchen areas.
